Outdoor Adventure Program
The Outdoor
Adventure Program that promotes outdoor activities you have
always wanted to explore and more! This program offers camping,
climbing, kayaking, canoeing, fly fishing, mountain biking, road
biking, horseback riding and a number of other exciting outdoor
adventures.
It is our hope to encourage kids to step out of
their "comfort zones" and explore new, safe, fun adventures that
will challenge them and broaden their education. In
participating in these types of activities it is inevitable that
a child develop a stronger sense of oneself, establish new and
healthy friendships, and have a better understanding and appreciation of
the environment around them!
Most of the
adventures take place after school depending on the duration and
type of activity. Anyone can sign up to do one or more of the
adventure program activities. You can access the schedule of
adventures on the link to the left. Students are asked to sign
up for each activity about two weeks in advance. In most cases
Ms. Parker-Dial will announce sign-ups for each adventure at
assembly or on WBGA. Students are then required to take a
waiver/enrollment sheet and return the form signed by a parent or legal
guardian. There is no cost to each adventure unless stated on
the sign-up sheet.
