Audrey Hepburn was born Audrey Kathleen Ruston on May 4, 1929 in Brussels, Belgium. In 1945 after World War II she moved to Amsterdam and took ballet lessons. She began her acting career in an educational movie called Dutch in Seven Lessons. Her first big film was called Secret People in which she was a prima ballerina. She then starred in Roman Holiday with Gregory Peck. She won a Golden Globe and Academy Award for her performance in this film. She was then in Sabrina, which gained her a friendship with fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy. She was also Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's, which was one of her most iconic characters she ever played. She also did stage work and made many other movies. Audrey died on January 20, 1993 in Tolochenaz, Switzerland.
