Atlanta Aquarium





The Atlanta Aquarium is the world's largest aquarium. It has 505,000 square feet of space and five major exhibits.

Ocean Voyager is modeled after the Meso American Barrier Reef of Central America. The exhibit has a hundred foots long tunnel going through the exhibit. It also boasts the worldest viewing window at 23 feet tall and 61 feet wide. The exhibit is designed to house the largest fish in the see Whale Sharks. It also has groups of large and small stingrays, a massive goliath grouper, many hammerhead sharks, and cubera snappers, schools of trevally jacks.

Georgia Explorer is made to display the creatures off the coast to Georgia. The exhibit includes many touch pools with stingrays, sea stars, and crabs. This exhibit talks about the endangered Right Whale. It features sea turtles form off the coast of Georgia.



Coldwater Quest includes coldwater animals form around the world form Africa, Japan, and North America. The animals include Beluga whales, California sea lions, sea otters and African black-footed penguins. The sea lion exhibit in both indoors and outdoors. There are shows featuring the sea lions everyday.

Tropical Diver includes reef fishes form around the world. The exhibit takes you through the worlds reefs. The fishes range from Blacktip Sharks, to rare jellyfish. This exhibit can be considered a "paradise under the sea". The Atlanta aquarium has recreated a natural wonder in small form.

River Scout is the worldest largest freahwater exhibit. It features Amazonian fish along with some amazon River mammals. The exhibit includes massive electric eels and a waterfall reaching to the ceiling.
