Grey's Anatomy
Grey's Anatomy is a TV show on ABC. It is based on Meredith Grey, a first year surgical intern at Seattle Grace Hospital, and her fellow interns. Meredith's life hasnt been so easy. Her mom is a world-renowned surgeon, and is now in a home for Alzheimer's patients. Her mother and father divorced when she was incredibly young, and the man she is in love with is one of the attendings, who, after the end of the first season, his wife another incredible surgeon, shows up. Now, Meredith is juggling friends with competition, and Derek and Addison, as well as her mom, and keeping up in a world that is based on how competitive you are, just to stay in the running to bhe a surgeon.
Meredith Grey. First-year surgical intern in Seattle. Lives in her mother's old house, with two roomates. Works at Seattle Grace hospital. Has a previous relationship with Derek Sheperd, but is now dating a vet, her dog's vet. Her dog, and Derek's dog. They share the dog.
Izzie Stevens is a very happy and always considerate ex-model, trying to prove herself in a male-dominated profession. She has a tendency to empathize with her patients, to really find out about them, and get attached. She is also a first-year surgical intern. She is currently "attached" to Denny Duquette, a heart patient, who is an incredibly sexy dying man, but still, dying. This attachment, or relationship, as it has become, is getting her in trouble for crossing the doctor-patient line, but she still carries it out. She lives with Meredith, and she grew up in a trailer park, so she is constantly trying to prove that she is worthy of being a surgeon. Izzie also dated Alex, who is another doctor on the show.
George is a quirky and funny first year surgical intern, who barely made the cut to get into the program. George lives with Meredith and Izzie, and is incredibly kind and considerate. George doesnt like to get his feelings hurt, and he doesnt like to hurt other people. He has a girlfriend named Callie, who is a resident in Orthepedics. George is incredibly nice to patients, and has made some mistakes in the past promising good outcomes of surgeries to make them feel better. That's just how George is. He is funny, and sweet, and nice, but he just moved out of his mother's house, so he's a bit questionable. lol.
Cristina Yang is an incredibly competitive first-year surgical intern. The top of her class in everything, she spares no feelings or spares nobody in working her way up the "surgical food chain." She does anything she can to get in on surgeries, and has a horrible bed-side manner that has gotten her in trouble. She is from Beverly Hills, California, but she doesn't act girly, although she does have a cool boyfriend, Preston Burke, who is an attending. Cristina took forever to let Burke into her life, but now they're dating and she lives in his apartment. Cristina drives a Harley. lol
Callie is a resident in Orthepedics. She is George's new girlfriend, and they work together. George really likes Callie, but Callie is a little weird, because she is at the hospital so much that she actually lives there. That is really strange. LIke, how does she eat? Does she go out every night? Because two episdoes ago, when we see her apartment, it just looks like an old office or supply closet. Thats weird.
The first day that the interns meet their resident, it is Bailey, who is called the Nazi, behind her back. They come to love Bailey even thoug she is incredibly tough, and harsh, ans sometimes just mean, because that's what makes her Bailey, and if they are going to survive their surgical internship, someone has to be hard on them. Bailey is actually, just a resident trying to become an attending, so really, she is a student too, but she is much more farther along the medecine track than the interns, and she has a lot more authority. She has sympathy toward her patients, but to everyone else, she spares nothing. Bailey is definitely not caught up in the love triangles of the interns, because she is married, and doesnt have time for their drama.
Derek Sheperd is a hot attending doctor who has great hair. Meredith is involved with Derek at the very beginning, meeting in a bar one night, and consequently, in the office the next afternoon. After that, Derek kept pressing Meredith to go out with him, and flirting, and eventually they were starting a relationship that any fans of Mer/Der knew would last. Derek was a doctor from Manhattan who had transfered to Seattle and Meredith was his intern, and they just worked togehter. That, of course, was until, at the end of the first season, Derek's wife, surgeon, Addison Sheperd, shows up. THis really drops a bomb on Meredith and Derek, and its a horrible situation. Derek was going to tell her, but Addison had cheated on Derek with his best friend Mark, and Derek had just left Manhattna for Seattle. Derek then had to decide, who to stay with, Meredith, or go back to his wife Addison who was in Seattle working on a case. MEredith gives Derek a total, pick me, choose me, love me, speech, but in the end, Derek picks Addison, because he has been with her for 11 years. They are all just trying to be friends now, but you can tell that Derek still loves Meredith.
Addison Sheperd is Derek's wife, who is also a surgeon. She always looks like she has used a lot of hairspray, and even though you can admire her job, many people just cant forgive her for cheating on Derek. She still loves him though, and she has been through a lot as well. Addison now lives with Derek in his trailer, on his huge piece of land, and they are trying really hard to work out all their problems.
Preston Burke is Cristina's boyfriend/attending doctor, who is incredibly...neat. His apartment is always spotless, he jogs, and runs, and cooks and cleans, and play the trumpet. or clarinet, or whatever. Burke is always interested in compteition, like Cristina, and feels the need to be the best. He likes his job, and he loves simplicity and organization, totally opposite from Cristina. Cristina is way messy, but somehow, she and Burke just work. Their relationship was definitely not as publicized as Derek and Meredith's was, and Burke hasnt been wildly accused of giving Cristina surgeries, or special favors like Meredith and Derek were, although Burke does...
So, i kinda forgot the vet's full name, but he's hott. And he's dating Meredith, because he met her when she was picking up her and Derek's dog, which they share. The dog's name is Doc, and he has had a lot of health problems lately, giving Meredith and Finn the opportunity to meet. Finn is interested in Meredith, but Meredith just wants to date him and not get too involved. I think she still loves Derek even though they say that they are just friends.
Chief Webber is the Chief of Surgery at Seattle Grace Hospital. He loves his job, and hates when people bother him about who is going to get the Chief of Surgery position when he retires He actually, had an affair with Meredith's mother while she worked at the hospital, but he stayed with his wife as well, who never knew about it. He still visits Ellis in the Alzheimer's home,and its obvious that he still loves her as well.
